For the first time, Fairtrade Certified peanuts are available in Australia.

Amore Foods has launched two Fairtrade Certified peanut products – Amore Fairtrade Peanuts with Sea Salt and Amore Fairtrade Peanuts & Cashews. Both have been ranged in Woolworths nationally.

The launch is the culmination of more than 12 months work that involved searching the world for nut growers who were able to work within the Fairtrade system, as well as meet the quality and volume requirements of a major national retailer. The Fairtrade Certified peanuts that Amore is using are supplied by a small farmer co-operative in Nicaragua. The cashews come from the company’s own cashew plantation in northern Queensland.
